this book helps outline the whole process from start to finish. i felt like if i made any mistakes in any of the steps, doing the other steps well just might be enough to salvage any situation

it's a nice, light read. it gets better the longer it goes on, and by the end it's pretty funny. it matures alongside the author over the course of the year he writes about.

a good motivator for students on how to channel their inner activist!

i do wish there were a few more guidelines for the racial justice work though, since she mentions it's importance so much but focuses on the climate piece for her actions

A thorough dive into the racial landscape of Chicago's Uptown and Rogers Park neighborhoods. Helps point to the fact that intentions and politics are often the roots of movements, and dont always correspond with the reality on the ground. Thought provoking.
