Disappointed

Sub-par story, poorly written with huge plot holes. Also, no one should have to listen to Michael Kramer read Wayne. It's offensive.

Story
Tiffany Aching, the boldest heroine ever to swing a frying pan against the forces of evil, is beginning her apprenticeship in magic. She expects to work hard, learn spells, and become a witch. She doesn't expect to find herself doing chores, caring for the careless, and trying to outthink an ill-tempered nanny goat. There must be more to witchcraft than this!

Tiffany Aching is his best series.

Stephen Briggs is delightful, and Terry Pratchett is at his usual best in making you want to laugh, think, and cry all at the same time. It's practically therapeutic.

Great reading; poor story

I really struggled to finish this one because of the story line. Love D. L. Sayers, though, so I am disappointed. Ian Carmichael does a phenomenal job reading, though, as per his usual.

Story
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

simply amazing!

Brandon Sanderson has a gift for fantasy worlds and although his other works are great comma I think this is his best work yet. The world Roshar is deep and highly immersive, and we haven't even scratched the surface!
