I liked the exploration of languages and how words have power for good or ill.

Given the Hayes Code was in full effect when the movie was released - it stayed as close as it could. The stockade scenes were pretty intense and based on things the author saw during his time working at a stockade.

The story was good. It probably would have been better if I had more than a “Big Bang Theory”(the tv show) knowledge of physics. But if physics is your bag - then you should enjoy this title.

Shabaz has taken his online “bits” and turned them into very well thought out chapters. His insights into what bothers us povols about the rich showing off their generational wealth on social media really hit home.

I had seen the movie several times so decided to see how it differed from the book.
Neely - far more insufferable than the movie version of her
Jennifer- same sweet character like in the movie but Tony is awful!
Anne - Oh, honey really? REALLY? Even for the time period-the book ending was supremely disappointing for her character.
Ms. Cox did a great job narrating.
Give it a listen, but brace yourself.

James Bond-esquié without all the misogyny. As a PreK teacher villainy is not in my wheelhouse, but our protagonist handles it well.

It’s a lovely little glimpse of growing up in a world most of us will never know. Heartfelt and touching - I’m glad he found another duck. :)

Wil and I grew up thousands of miles apart, but our dads were brothers from another mother and I get him. He looks back on his first book with honesty, raw emotion and humor. I will be listening to this one again.

I read this (and the first 6 Stephanie Plum) books when they came out. If I were a bounty hunter - I'd be just like Stephanie. Fun listen as you're stuck in rush hour traffic.
