An interesting story with good characters

I enjoyed the story. He has a unique set of characters. I did not enjoy the foul language. It takes away from the story. The reader did not fit the story at all and made it difficult to envision.

Terribly dissapoointing!

I could not finish it. Readers are subjected to Whoopi Goldberg, who does a poor job. I don't enjoy it when an author becomes an activist. Grishim did, and it did not suit him. Don't bother with this one.

An interesting interesting concept in storytelling

I enjoyed the approach The author took. The characters were easily distinguishable. This could have been a fascinating story and a really good book. The reason for my review is the author has a very limited vocabulary. Whenever an adjective is needed, he uses the F word. It is annoying, and so pervasive throughout the book that it ruins the entire experience. I ended up skipping ahead because I did want to find out how the story turned out. It is a shame that this author does not have a broader vocabulary.

This trilogy is an excellent listen. The main character is very well developed with excellent supporting characters. It is historical fiction and interesting.

It was shaping up to be a good story but got very confusing at times. Near the end, it took a mystical turn. That was very disappointing. It could’ve been a straightforward mystery that was enjoyable.

Great story with depth

This author does a good job with creating characters and stories that are fun and keep your interest. This is another example and well worth reading. I did not particularly like the reader, but it was not bad enough to stop listening.

Weird and a bit of a waste.

I have always enjoyed the Longmire stories, but don’t enjoy his for a into mysticism. This one is disappointing and just plain weird at times the narrator is, as always, superb. I would say, skip this particular novel.

Excellent story, unfortunate. Use foul language.

This is a unique story, and I really enjoyed the characters. Unfortunately, the author is limited in his knowledge and hast to resort to foul language. It spoils this as a literary work, and makes it difficult to listen to.
