This particular book has a very slow plot. There’s no peak and it just sort of drags on without any moments.

Story
Lucy is the tourist vacationing at a beach house on Prince Edward Island. Felix is the local who shows her a very good time. The only problem: Lucy doesn’t know he’s her best friend’s younger brother. Lucy and Felix’s chemistry is unreal, but the list of reasons why they need to stay away from each other is long, and they vow to never repeat that electric night again. It’s easier said than done.

This isn’t a bad review…

I’m always hesitant to leave less than stellar reviews, but this book lacks a catch. There’s no rise and fall of the characters that keeps you wanting to read more. I did listen to the whole thing and it needed a take away at some point to boost the plot
. The one in the book, wasn’t enough to keep me hooked. I applaud anyone with the courage to write. I’m sharing my thoughts for other readers.

Story
Lily and her ex-husband, Ryle, have just settled into a civil coparenting rhythm when she suddenly bumps into her first love, Atlas, again. After nearly two years separated, she is elated that for once, time is on their side, and she immediately says yes when Atlas asks her on a date. But her excitement is quickly hampered by the knowledge that, though they are no longer married, Ryle is still very much a part of her life—and Atlas Corrigan is the one man he will hate being in his ex-wife and daughter’s life.

Lacked suspense

I really enjoyed reading the first book in the series. However, the second book sort of droned on, and didn’t really keep my attention because there was no peak in the storyline.
