Story
She thinks she can steal from me, the little human. Adorable. I can't decide what will be more fun—the hunt or what I will do to her when I catch her. And I will catch her. There is nowhere she can run. Abel was of perfectly sound body and mind when she looted the Other's corpse. He looked dead. Wait. Did he just smirk up at her? No. Definitely not...

Diana Richardson slayed the audiobook, had me hooked for 20 hours!
To avoid spoilers, I’ll just say that I LOVED the story until Mikey happened, but it’s still a solid 4 stars for me and I’m excited to move on to the next in the series.

Leanne did it again

So good, I had to pause several times just to excitedly tell my husband how fantastic the story is; the characters, the conflict, the layered timelines. At one point, the book had me sobbing loudly at my kitchen stove, tears streaming down my face and neck. I had to lean back to avoid crying into the food.

Story
This is book one in a new series from best-selling romance author Molly McAdams. In the Brewed series, each standalone novel focuses on one of the Dixon boys - the hottest bachelors around. What everyone doesn’t see is the strain threatening to destroy their family and their parents’ dream - permanently. Based in a small, country town, the Brewed series is filled with tension, excitement, and passion - feuds will transform into romances, and chances will be given again in true McAdams fashion.

A bit hard to get through

I listened to Lie to Me by the same author and enjoyed it, so I was excited to start this series. Unfortunately, this one’s not for me. I’m nearly halfway through it and feel like I don’t know anything about the characters, so I don’t really care about them. Forget “Will they? Won’t they?” I’m asking myself “Who are they?!” I’m going to push through it because I have faith this has to be leading somewhere (the flashbacks are interesting; they’re probably the best part) and I’m hopeful that the other books in the series are more enjoyable/have more likable characters.

Story
After a wild bet, gourmet grilled-cheese sandwich, and cuddle with a baby goat, Alexis Montgomery has had her world turned upside down. The cause: Daniel Grant, a ridiculously hot carpenter who’s ten years younger than her and as casual as they come—the complete opposite of sophisticated city-girl Alexis. And yet their chemistry is undeniable.

I laughed, I cried. The stakes were real, the love was deep. And the voice performances were some of the best I’ve ever heard. They perfectly captured the gut-wrenching scenes Abby creates.

Story
Lucie Redway knows one thing for certain: her best friend will have the most perfect destination wedding. She may not know if she’ll still have her agony aunt column next month, or if her love life will ever be more exciting than a midnight swipe right, but Lucie would rather exhaust herself than let Stacey down on her Big Day. Not even Charlie, the insufferably attractive and hateful best man, can get in her way. Before the flight touches down in Spain, Lucie is hit with a curveball. Sat next to world-famous psychic Miranda Bloom, she’s told she’ll leave the wedding with the love of her life.

Everything a Romance Novel Should Be

Leeanne just writes books I want to read! Really excited to have found her on Audible and looking forward to her future work!!
She writes fleshed-out, complicated characters with real problems. Satisfying tension and growth between the main pairings. Personal growth and learning. Closure, rather than characters just being written out or glossed over when the drama is over.
Simply put, her stories don’t feel as formulaic as a lot of popular romances, and there’s a lot to appreciate in her writing.
And of course, the performance brings it to life! Excellent narration.
