I fell in love with this book all over again, the 2nd time around! It's been added to my favorites now. The storyline is modern, sweet & adorable! The characters are such a wonderful ensemble cast. The narrator is AMAZING! This story by Cara Bastone is beautifully written! My heart is full!

Unexpected Ending

Let me begin by saying, while I loved the characters, the narrators/actors, and ultimately the storyline, the author almost lost me in the middle while her female lead incessantly & repetitiously took up chapter after chapter of push-pull dialogue. It was annoying & even agonizing at times. I decided to try skipping through chapters as not to abandon the book, and thankfully didn’t seem to miss any of the storyline.
This story, characters and narrators had me both laughing and crying. The last third of the book was insightful, medically informative and desperately heart wrenching. Yet it kept me entrenched.
I was so moved by the happy, sweet ending! It totally redeemed itself by the end!

This is my go to listen regularly! I thoroughly enjoy all the dialogue, acting, narrators, and of course, the amazing storyline! The narrators bring this down to earth but still unique storyline to life! I'm still charmed listening over & over! The actors were so well-chosen for their individual parts! I put this on as I'm getting cozy in bed and often find myself chuckling as I doze off.

Paint your toes. Pick up the wrong coffee and bagel order. Drive from Brooklyn to Jersey in traffic so slow you want to tear your hair out. It’s amazing all the useless things I can accomplish while on hold for three hours with customer service. Three hours when I should be getting the Date-in-a-Box website ready to launch at the big business expo in a few days.
