Story
After the Final War, after the appearance of the Bug aliens and their enforced peace, Shining Smith is still alive, still doing business from the old scrapyard bequeathed to her by her father. But Shining is now something more than human. And the scrapyard is no longer just a scrapyard, but a place full of secrets. This life she has built, while empty, is predictable and safe. Until the only friend left from her previous life shows up, dead, in the back of a scrapped Tesla warplane. Clutched in her cold fingers is a note to Shining - warning her of a coming attack.

the story is good, for children. i like some jazz, but the dining caught me by surprise and since it’s made for the story and not actual music, i found it unsatisfactory.
so 3 stars in my opinion. my daughter liked it. so …win?

They are coming. The countdown has begun. First visible only as blips on a telescope image, the discovery of objects approaching from Jupiter's orbit immediately sets humanity on edge. NASA doesn't even bother to deny the alien ships' existence. The popular Astral space app (broadcasting from the far side of the moon and accessible by anyone with Internet) has already shown the populace what is coming.

this is definitely the worst audio in audible.
its like 2012 ( the movie ) meets every episode of jerry springer.
yet i want to know what happens to mayer.
it’s like a B movie with a good plot but c list actors the narrator himself is fine.
the characters are just horrible people WXCEPT FOR MAYER. he’s a boss. but dragged down every step by ungrateful family. it’s a horror show for sure.
a fathers worst nightmare wrapped in a road trip. “shivers”

i’ve loved every single book in the series so far.
a lot of people complain about the narrator?
i’ve never listened to a book at normal speed.
only 1.4 or higher. the action sequences are much more intense in any book. book 4 is on my list next. cant wait. Hugo Huesca is one my favorite authors now.

Story
Religious fundamentalists and biblical literalists present any number of arguments that attempt to disprove evolution. Those with a sympathetic ear often fail to critically examine these creationist claims, leading to an ill-informed public and, perhaps more troubling, ill-advised public policy. As Aron Ra makes clear, however, every single argument deployed by creationists in their attacks on evolution is founded on fundamental scientific, religious, and historical falsehoods - all of them.

references to “old wisemen” and quotes from unverifiable sources “retrofitting” old adages to modern scientific discoveries. and twisting the meaning of words to fit their narrative.
sheesh.
i’d save my credit if i were you and get a rom-com.

Story
Perhaps the most influential science book ever written, On the Origin of Species has continued to fascinate for more than a century after its initial publication. Its controversial theory that populations evolve and adapt through a process known as natural selection led to heated scientific, philosophical, and religious debate, revolutionizing every discipline in its wake. With its clear, concise, and surprisingly enjoyable prose, On the Origin of Species is both captivating and edifying.

i understood it and sound was sketchy. but not a story i liked. it is hard to follow but if you’re a good listener then no problem.
still though ... seems “niche” like a B movie? it’s a b book. actors went all out though. good job there.
