Story
Historians have long told the story of America’s birth as the triumph of Jefferson’s democratic ideals over the aristocratic intentions of Hamilton. Chernow presents an entirely different man, whose legendary ambitions were motivated not merely by self-interest but by passionate patriotism and a stubborn will to build the foundations of American prosperity and power.

MORE THINGS CHANGE THE MORE THEY REMAIN THE SAME
Reviewed: 07-28-22
Fascinating. If you're interested in American history this is a must read. It reads like a page out of today's political drama. Human nature never changes. The same back biting and pettiness that exists today went on back then. The only difference is that political opponents don't settle their differences with pistols at 20 paces.
The founding fathers dealt in "fake news", defamation, political corruption and all the sins money, power and prestige bring.

NYT TRUTH?
Reviewed: 07-01-22
The NYT may not be the first to masquerade opinion and bias as news, but they certainly have been the most respected for the longest period of time. This book lays out their biases using their own archives to do so.
Time is the ultimate arbiter of truth this book does an excellent job of giving the reader/listener the facts. If you're a person born in the 50's, like me, you've lived through much of what is discussed and know first hand what actually happened. The majority of which is 180 degrees off what the NYT originally reported.

Story
In 1770, the fuse of revolution is lit by a fateful command - “Fire!” - as England’s peacekeeping mission ignites into the Boston Massacre. The senseless killing of civilians leads to a tumultuous trial in which lawyer John Adams must defend the very enemy who has assaulted and abused the laws he holds sacred. The taut courtroom drama soon broadens into a stunning epic of war as King George III leads a reckless and corrupt government in London toward the escalating abuse of his colonies.

The Real Anthony Fauci details how Fauci, Gates, and their cohorts use their control of media outlets, scientific journals, key government and quasi-governmental agencies, global intelligence agencies, and influential scientists and physicians to flood the public with fearful propaganda about COVID-19 virulence and pathogenesis, and to muzzle debate and ruthlessly censor dissent.

The information contained in this book should be heard/read by everyone seeking the truth about the Covid-19 hysteria. RFK, Jr. makes compelling arguments with well documented evidence. Truth should be able to withstand question. Today's MSM narrative on the subject doesn't allow questioning, which convinced me that it was false. This book confirmed my suspicion. Is it just my cognitive bias? Read/listen to it yourself and decide.

EXCELLENT STORY/GREAT CHARACTER
Reviewed: 05-19-20
The author's real life experience, his knowledge of weaponry, tactics and process separates this story from many of the same genre. I'm no expert, but I know enough about the subject and the ordinance to recognize "reality" from fiction. Does the story take some liberties? Absolutely! It's entertainment, but it's believable enough to keep you interested and involved.
I highly recommend it and am looking forward to James Reese's next adventure.

Story
In 2012, on his third tour of duty in Afghanistan, an improvised explosive device left Dan Crenshaw's right eye destroyed and his left blinded. Only through the careful hand of his surgeons, and what doctors called a miracle, did Crenshaw's left eye recover partial vision. And yet, he persevered, completing two more deployments. Why? There are certain stories we tell ourselves about the hardships we face—we can become paralyzed by adversity or we can adapt and overcome. We can be fragile or we can find our fortitude. Crenshaw delivers a set of lessons to help you do just that.

Story
Former ICE Director Tom Homan has been at the forefront of the conservative fight to secure our borders and offers proof that illegal immigration is not a victimless crime. In Defend the Border and Save Lives, Homan shares what illegal immigration is really about. Illegal immigration should not be a partisan issue. Now is the time to fix this issue that has claimed so many victims and divided this country. We need to pull the curtain back and expose what truly happens and separate facts from fiction.

Tom tells it like it is and was on the southern border. Excellent story based on first hand experience. Read/listen to the book and learn the truth. Homan has the reputation of being a straight shooter and a great old fashioned LEO. This book does a great job of "filling in the blanks" and telling his story.

Story
Hillbilly Elegy is a passionate and personal analysis of a culture in crisis - that of white working-class Americans. The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over 40 years, has been reported on with growing frequency and alarm but has never before been written about as searingly from the inside. J. D. Vance tells the true story of what a social, regional, and class decline feels like when you were born with it hung around your neck.

As a son/survivor of Appalachia, this book hits close to home. He may be young in years, but his experiences are far too often repeated in Appalachia. The author does an excellent job of bringing them to life.
I commend him for overcoming the toxic environment he grew up in and for inspiring others to do the same.

Among the most consistent and aggressive criticisms of Donald Trump is that he is a threat to American democracy - a human wrecking ball demolishing our most basic values and institutions. Resistance (at All Costs) makes the opposite case - that it is Trump's critics, in their zeal to oppose the president, who are undermining our foundations.

THOROUGH REVIEW
Reviewed: 10-26-19
This is an incredible analysis of what the resistance is doing to undermine the American political system. There is no doubt many laws have been broken in their pursuit of unbridled power. Everything they accuse Trump of doing has been and continues to be done by the bureaucracy commonly known as the "Deep State".
I highly recommend this book.
