Story
Every Sunday, Kate brings coffee and bagels to the fire station across the street, a tradition born from gratitude after a firefighter saved her life when she was eight years old. But when a new firefighter, Hudson, joins the team, their instant connection is impossible to ignore. Kate, still healing from a past of betrayal and loss, is determined to keep her heart guarded. Hudson, no stranger to pain and helplessness, understands her reluctance all too well. Just as Kate and Hudson start to explore their feelings for each other, a violent act of vandalism shatters Kate's world.

A captivating story that steadily develops its characters, drawing you deeper into their world with each chapter. The author masterfully creates a vivid, believable town, making you feel like you're right there in the heart of it. I found myself loving all the characters and can't wait to see where their journey leads next. The narrator's performance is exceptional, effortlessly distinguishing between characters with distinct tones and even incorporating accents. His portrayal of the female characters is seamless, making it easy to follow along and stay immersed in the story.

The authors hissy fit about Trump being president.

I really like this series, but why is the author spending so much time having her characters go off on a tangent about the presidential election. It is a fantasy book, not a political one, Trump and Hillary have nothing to do with this book, if they do I will delete this and never read another book by this author. Keep your political views out of your FANTASY books please!!! why?
