Of all the Spanish language-learning audiobooks I've purchased, including those by Paul Noble, this is the best so far. The lessons provide ample opportunity for repeating, practicing, improving vocabulary and phrasing (and not the typical travel-related phrases either), comprehension, and speaking. My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that some of the self-checking quizzes use a fill-in-the-blank format that doesn't lend itself audio (unless you happen to have a good memory or write down the specific list of verbs being covered by the particular quiz). Other than that, I'm very happy with this audiobook!

There's a lot of content, but the format isn't conducive to learning. There's no opportunity to repeat the phrases; instead, the narrator gives the words or phrases in English, then in Spanish, then BAM--it's on to the next word or phrase. Perhaps the hardcopy of these books would be better, but as an audio learning tool, it's not great.

I really liked the first Spanish with Paul Noble, but this one is beyond ANNOYING. There is way too much repetition of the same words and phrases over and over and over and over again, with very little new vocabulary. If a third Spanish with Paul comes out, I will hesitate big time before buying it unless he offers more vocabulary and less repetition.

What did you love best about Go Suck a Lemon?

This is one of the best self-development books ever. Cornwall's humor, insight, and obvious understanding of rational emotive behavior therapy, which (despite being no stranger to the mental health profession) I'd never heard of, shine from every page. A major tenet of REBT is that a person’s problems and feelings are a product of internal beliefs about external events and not the external events themselves--let that one sink in; then consider the three major musts--I must do well; others must treat me well; life should be easy--and the problem is clear. Fortunately, Cornwall's book helps clear the path toward more rational beliefs and behaviors, and (hopefully) increased happiness . . .
