Never have I been so wrapped up in a story as I have been with ‘The Pact’. Powerful, captivating, riveting, addictive, passionate, romantic, surreal, heartwarming. There was only one way that it could end but it seemed eternity getting there, yet I patiently hung on each word, until the last. Realizing that it was a novel and yet knowing how true the story - at least parts of it - could be for many, including me. The narrator was exceptional and believable. Thank you for composing such an incredible read.

Story
Meet Ove. He's a curmudgeon - the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him "the bitter neighbor from hell". But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness.

A Man Called Ove And A Book Worth Reading

Wonderful character development and story line. I’ve laughed and cried and found it difficult at times to ‘put the book down’; anxiously awaiting the next opportunity to listen. My favorite chapter is 27; A Man Called Ove and A Driving Lesson: Ove’s exchange with tattoo throat was priceless. Such a truly heartwarming story.

I loved the story and the characters. I realize this is the reading of a book, but occasionally I became frustrated with all the, 'I said', 'she said', 'he said' references. That's the only negative.
