Story
In a place known as the Ledge, a civilization is trapped by a vast chasm and sheer mountain face. There is no way for anyone to escape the frozen wasteland without befalling a deathly drop. They know nothing of the outside world except that it is where the Glacians reside—mystical and vicious winged creatures who bring meager rations in exchange for a periodic human sacrifice.

Ready for the next one!

Took a little while to figure out where it was going but once it did, I was hooked.
The story really got more interesting toward the end and I can't wait to see was the author comes up with for the next one!

Story
Fen Young is a half-shifter whose inner beast is more mouse than wolf. Home is her castle, the only place she's ever felt safe. Enter Hunter Green, an uber-alpha strong enough to stop traffic with a single look. He's handsome and enticing and seems like just the ticket to broaden Fen's horizons...until the uber-alpha brushes off his admirer and summarily rejects her from her home pack. Now treading water in the no-man's land of outpack territory, Fen must confront a missing pack mate, a tantalizing stranger, and a serial killer targeting half-werewolves.

Poor Narration distracts from story
Reviewed: 11-07-22
I enjoyed other audio titles from this author and was looking forward to this one. Unfortunately Angel Clark's weird narration just ruins it. Her cadence of reading is just so weird. As if she's a news anchor reporting a story. I just got thru book 1 of the 3 and honestly, I can't keep going.
As for the story, it didn't feel as good as the Easterling's other but it could just be the bad narration threw me off. Ugh, just so so bad.

Story
Not even Wes can save me from the darkness that’s consuming me. Gordon Steppe wants my blood, and more than that, he wants to get inside my head—control the bond I share with the hybrids and use it to destroy anything with dirty blood. If I don’t help him, he’ll kill everyone I love, starting with my pack. But the real battle isn’t just against Steppe—it’s against the beast within me. Every day, it’s getting harder to keep it at bay. The prophecy says I’m supposed to save everyone, but all my choices seem to lead to more pain, more danger, more death.

It's not horrible but there is a lot of cringey dialog straight from Twilight. The first couple books definitely follow a Twilight format. The main character Tara has a lot of long winded inner turmoil over her two loves, werewolf Wes (Edward) and hunter Alex (Jacob).
I did end up liking the science vs destiny part of the plot. Books 3 thru 5 are my favorites. As the series went on the story forced a deviation from Twilight and it became more original which needed to happen.
Although, quite a few times I found myself yelling at Tara to stop being a stupid bitch and to just get on with it already. Ugh. A lot of cringe but I committed to the series and I laughed out loud a few times. I really enjoyed a number of characters, my favorites being Cambria and Cord. I could take it or leave it. It won't be on my repeat list though.

Story
I thought watching my Werewolf boyfriend get arrested for murder was the worst experience of my life. But then I was knocked out and dragged off to a cell of my own by the very people who were supposed to protect me from danger. I thought being held prisoner in solitary confinement for weeks on end was the worst experience of my life. But then a visitor came, and I realized I'd been wrong all along. There are worse things than torture and death. Much worse. He wants my blood. More than that, he wants to get into my head.
