Story
It is the most famous military installation in the world. And it doesn't exist. Located a mere s75 miles outside of Las Vegas in Nevada's desert, the base has never been acknowledged by the US government - but Area 51 has captivated imaginations for decades. Annie Jacobsen had exclusive access to 19 men who served the base proudly and secretly for decades and are now aged 75-92, and unprecedented access to 55 additional military and intelligence personnel, scientists, pilots, and engineers linked to the secret base, 32 of whom lived and worked there for extended periods.

I'm sure there will be those who call this propaganda, information put out with just enough truth to distract from the "fact " that extraterrestrial aliens exist, personally I don't believe that, but I understand why they do.
I leave to posterity those answers, we are almost a hundred years removed from the events that put this conspiracy theory into motion, and we still have no real answers, it may take another hundred, or even future archeologists uncovering what they will call "their ancient history"! This will be long after you and I are but a branch on someone's family tree.
I found this to be a well researched, and written (read), yet still full of holes exposé on what we today are calling "the deep state" a bunch of unelected bureaucrats keeping everyone in the dark to achieve their goals, whatever they may be.

Story
War as I Knew It is the personal and candid account of General George S. Patton, Jr.'s celebrated, relentless crusade across Europe during World War II. First published in 1947, this absorbing narrative draws on Patton's vivid memories of battle and his detailed diaries, from the moment the Third Army exploded onto the Brittany Peninsula to the final Allied casualty report. The result is not only a grueling, human account of daily combat but also a valuable chronicle of the strategies and fiery personality of a brilliant warrior.

I found this reading of General Patton's diaries, with historical commentaries quite amazing, and some of the things said about him seem a fiction after hearing his own words, for example, from the movie, we are less to believe the he believes in reincarnation, and t5 of the fields of battle that he was treading on were the same ones that Napoleon, and his army fought on, and the significance of that!
The lessons in this book should be being taught in all Military academies, and if they are not, then I fear for the safety of our nation, and our posterity!

The modern apologetics classic that started it all is now completely revised and updated - because the truth of the Bible doesn't change, but its critics do. With the original Evidence That Demands a Verdict, best-selling author Josh McDowell gave Christian audiences the answers they needed to defend their faith against the harshest critics and skeptics. Now, with his son Sean McDowell, Josh McDowell has updated and expanded this classic resource for a new generation. This is a book that invites listeners to bring their doubts.

Story
Third edition. Is the United States facing a societal "divorce"? Roughly two thirds of Americans believe another civil war could occur in today's political climate. And it is easy to understand why. Three impeachments in the last four presidencies. A weak US presidency. A partisan divide perhaps greater than that of the 1860s. With perhaps impeccable timing, this Wall Street Journal best-selling author contemplates an exit strategy for what has become a broken democracy.

Story
As a young Christian man, Matthew Vines harbored the same basic hopes of most young people: to someday share his life with someone, to build a family of his own, to give and receive love. But when he realized he was gay, those hopes were called into question. The Bible, he’d been taught, condemned gay relationships. Feeling the tension between his understanding of the Bible and the reality of his same-sex orientation, Vines devoted years of intensive research into what the Bible says about homosexuality.

I've been a non-affirmer for as long as I can remember, I'm not homo-phobic, I've been a kind of "too each his own" kind of person, I won't say I'm a full on affirmer now either, but I am open to more research on both sides of the issue, no longer a bystander, but still standing by. I have always held to 2 tenets, one Christian, one, more of a native American proverb, All have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God, and until you've walked a mile in another man's moccasins you don't get to judge.
For me that means I don't get to justify my sin because it's not as bad as yours, and I don't know what you're walk looks like, I use this analogy, if you've ever watched a sitcom where one of the characters in a separate scene from the other main characters, is put into an odd situation, and the decision they make in that situation, although funny, is wrong, then they're back together with the group and put in a somewhat situation and choose to make a different decision based on their previous situation, and now that's the wrong decision, and all the other characters are now soaked at that decision, and asking "Why would you do that?" they all don't know about the previous situation, just like we don't know about what's happening in the lives of our friends and even family.
I liked the explanations in this book, although there are many references to writing style of the day, and some explanations of culture, these are the areas I would need more personal study in before making a full leap into affirmation.
I was also a little disappointed in the bringing up of the transgender issue without any biblical teaching or references on the issue even being mentioned throughout the book, I say this because I am dealing with this issue in my immediate family at the moment, and am doing it alone, since my wife passed away 2 years ago, so I don't have that team dynamic working in this situation.
Your prayers are appreciated, thanks.

Story
Is Atheism Dead? is an entertaining, impressively wide-ranging, and decidedly provocative answer to that famous 1966 Time cover that itself provocatively asked “Is God Dead?” In a voice that is by turns witty, muscular, and poetic, Metaxas intentionally echoes C. S. Lewis and G. K. Chesterton in cheerfully and logically making his astonishing case, along the way presenting breathtaking - and often withering - new evidence and arguments against the idea of a Creatorless universe.

... enlightening if you don't, I have read many of the books referenced in this one, and Eric has reaffirmed the truth, and if that's something you've been looking for you'll find it here, I have believed for a long time now that believing in God is a far easier leap than being an atheist. read the whole book, his explanations in the section on the Four Horsemen it's very well thought, and equally coherent. A great read, I'll do it again.

Story
In 2009, Mark R. Levin galvanized conservatives with his unforgettable manifesto Liberty and Tyranny, by providing a philosophical, historical, and practical framework for halting the liberal assault on Constitution-based values. That book was about standing at the precipice of progressivism’s threat to our freedom, and now, over a decade later, we’re fully over that precipice and paying the price. In American Marxism, Levin explains how the core elements of Marxist ideology are now pervasive in American society and culture.

Plenty of history, with years of facts and science, excellent book for the denier because we're willing to overlook the mispronunciation of words, but the climate change Nazi's will glom onto them, and make it about that rather than the truth of what is being said ie. edict (ēdict not èdict), paradigm (para-dime not para dee im) and if you're going to mention a city or town in Massachusetts, please call the town hall, and then say the name the way the person who answers the phone says it... Gloucester is Gloss-ter not Glòw- kester.
These are but a few of the myriad of pronunciation errors, and I agree with the book, the warmists will ignore all facts, and attack the reading!
