Fun, easy listening. I love how the story moves right along dropping a bit of history here and there. I wish I would have paid more attention in my Art History courses now!

Likeable Characters
Reviewed: 05-12-25
I liked the solid characters and the fact that the author doesn’t drag oblivious plot lines out. It is so annoying when that happens in stories. She gets right to it leaving the opportunity to learn more about the adventures of the characters!

Story
Jaxon Riley is exceptional at three things: starting fights on the ice, picking up women post-game, and going home to fulfill his role as the world's best cat dad. Relationships, unfortunately, missed the list. Lennon Hayes is supposed to be on her honeymoon. Instead, she's alone and single, vacationing next door to a surly tattooed man who ran his date off the resort. When a run-in at the bar results in a night of bickering and cocktails, she finds herself tumbling into bed with the enemy next door, then sneaking out before the sun comes up.

Thoughtful and Endearing
Reviewed: 04-24-25
I love the way, main characters were very thoughtful towards each other. And the male character had very endearing actions in his thoughtful giftgiving and consideration. Doesn’t really seem like a guy would actually do those things, like weekly fresh flowers and slim sheets but if they read this and get some ideas, that’s great for the woman they are seeing. Same goes for their comfort level and respect in their sexual adventures.

Alexander Cameron may have won the highborn English beauty in a duel, but not even the lure of long-forgotten desires could keep him from his meeting with destiny. He had no choice but to carry his reluctant bride off to the Highlands, to a world of ancient blood feuds and a brewing rebellion - a world where fiery passion and breathtaking courage would prove that even legendary warriors could lose their hearts.

Well done but the religion process was driving me nuts! I get the point. And then the story just skipped ahead and ended. I wanted to see a resolution of the husband and religious church and their attorney own up and pay for their sins!!
