If you like Sword and Sorcery and you haven't read Conan stories you are in for a treat. Keep in mind that these were written in the 1930s so the tropes that will make the eyes on modern critics roll around like hamster wheels will be present. the presentation of these stories in order of appearance helps put you in the place of readers as these stories gained a following. I am throughly pleased that I took the time to lend my ear to this record and I expect you will as well.

Read this if you are thinking about homeschooling.

if you are thinking ab ou ut homeschooling and want an overview of what can be expected this book is a good place to start. I'm not a practicing religious person so Durenda Wilson's perspective is different than mine but I completely understood what she was referring to when she cited biblical texts. You don't need to a Christian to get useful information from this book. i suggest this to anyone thinking about homeschooling but unsure about how it would look.

Story
This newer edition of the King James Bible published in 1769 is usually preferred by most that read it over the older 1611 version. This 1769 edition is highly sought after due to being more reader/listener friendly than the 1611 since many typos were fixed.... We hope your new audio bible will go everywhere with you and be a blessing for years to come.

It's the Bible.
Reviewed: 06-02-22
if you are looking for a reading of the King James Bible, this is your spot. There are a few different narrators which helps if you are listening directly through. Each reader takes a relatively equal amount of the text. they do not switch back and forth nor do they present the text as a dramatic reading. Just the bible read to you. It's what I was looking for and hopefully this review helps.

Story
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Not fast enough to confuse you and not slow enough to have you wishing it would go somewhere. I look forward to reading (listening) to the next installment.

A Science Fiction Classic
Reviewed: 09-21-21
While this first book is not my favorite in the series this is an excellent book in it's own right. laying the groundwork necessary for a entire series while avoiding the first book trap of being slow or spoon feeding the reader. This story stands on it's own, keeping the reader(or listener) engaged throughout.
