One of the most enjoyable listens I have had in a long time
Kenny is insightful and fun to listen to.
I also thought it offered a lot of perspective on what it is like to be a star athlete before basketball really blew up and became as popular as it is today

Story
It’s easy to be yourself when who and what you are is in vogue. But growing up Black and gay in America has never been easy. Before Billy Porter was slaying red carpets and giving an iconic performance in the celebrated TV show Pose; before he was the Tony Award-winning star of Broadway’s Kinky Boots; and before he was an acclaimed recording artist, actor, playwright, and all-around diva, Porter was a young boy who didn’t fit in.

Story
Jenifer Lewis keeps it real in this provocative and touching memoir by a Midwestern girl with a dream whose journey from poverty to Hollywood will move, shock, and inspire listeners. Told in the audacious voice her fans adore, Jenifer describes a road to fame made treacherous by dysfunction and undiagnosed mental illness, including a sex addiction. Yet, supported by loving friends and strengthened by "inner soldiers", Jenifer never stopped entertaining and creating.

Having Jennifer Lewis read her book on audio felt like she was in my own living room. Full of humor, insight and just plain common sense.
You will laugh and cry on this very special roller coaster ride and first hand look into the life of a crazy funny Hollywood diva.
They don’t make em like this anymore. She breaks the mold.
