Excellent Story

This was an incredible story that kept me interested the entire time. It was well layed out, the characters were believable and very real, and the small town they lived in was perfectly described. I was fully invested in each character, loving some, hating some, and interested in all of them. Lastly, the ending was quite good with several twists that were surprising yet believable and it all wrapped up well with no loose ends. Overall, this was a very good novel.

Great Novel!
Reviewed: 05-12-21
So many questions answered, so many new story possibilities, and great writing. As always, these two authors just seem to "get it". And having R.C. Bray back on board makes the second series equal to the first season. Possibly the best Sci-Fi military series being written today, if not of all time. It considers the positions of all classes of people, wealth, location, and government. All encompassing, completely engrossing, and always fun.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Every bit as good as The Martian

Andy Weir does not disappoint in this novel. Ray Porter also does not disappoint as narrator. The thing that I really appreciate about Andy Weir's writing is the science that goes into his Science Fiction. This novel is believable, holds your attention and went by too quickly. Excellent. I highly recommend.

Story
The city of Celum is not much like Liscor at all. While Erin is surrounded by familiar, human faces, she’s far from home and without her inn. At the same time, a certain ill-tempered Lyonette is squatting in Erin’s inn, and Goblins are on the move. The Goblin Lord’s threat reaches across the entire region, and the Redfang tribe has rallied against him with the Floodplains tribe, although their Chieftains do not agree on some crucial matters. This winter, there is only snow, Goblins, magic, and iambic pentameter.

Pirate Aba has created a fantastic world with amazing characters and Andrea Parsneau is one of the best narrators I have listened to. I have over 400 titles in my library and this series is in my top 3 of all time.

Story
In High Earth, digital entertainment is everything. Shows. Virtual worlds. Simulations - there’s something for everybody in a city where working for a living has been rendered obsolete by technological advancements. Even a short walk outside to visit with others is no longer necessary. Just load into the network and you can be with anyone, anywhere. For Asher Reinhart, nothing compares to Ignis; a live reality show that pushes human beings to their very extremes.

Story
There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

Alanson keeps the series fresh and alive!
Reviewed: 12-28-20
In a long running series it can become difficult to keep a strong storyline and to develop fresh ideas. Craig Alanson does not seem to have that problem. The story transitions in the middle from ending the last story to develop the new one. Even though these transitions can be sluggish, Alanson develops a "mini
story" to help it along, and the novel is fabulous. Of course having the BEST NARRATOR ON THE PLANET reading the book never hurts. Congratulations Mr. Alanson, and Mr. Bray. I now to your AWESOMENESS!
