There may be some issues with the story, but that can't change how much fun I had with it. Oh, and the ending left me so excited for the next novel I would almost be willing to break my rule of at least one book between in a series.

The parts of the book where the actual script development is being reviewed is great! However, the authors analysis is poor and dragged out at best, and being an audio book they are difficult to flip through. Entire passages are repeated more than once throughout the book (not including the appendices). This is the only time I've ever felt there should be a special Revised and Re-Edited Edition for audio version. This is not to say I didn't enjoy most of it, but there were large parts that were very frustrating to get through.

I can honestly say I really enjoyed the parts that Vader and the Emperor were not in. However, the parts with Vader and the Emperor seemed like online fan fiction, and reminded me way to much of the not so bright points of the old, now Legends, books.

Unlike many of the biographical works in have read/listened to, this one does not shy away from being critical of the band and it's members when it is called for. That's not to say the authors bash Metallica the way you'll hear from certain 'fans', the authors come across as intelligent, we'll versed in the genre, and honest. I enjoyed part one and look forward to downloading part two.

I really enjoyed the first book, but labored through this one. Only one of the many storylines kept my interest, and the performance was not entertaining enough to to make up for the story. It's not so bad that I won't give the next one a try.

This was a great way to re-experience the Star Wars Trilogy from a different point of view. Watching those movies as a kid I never thought about the gravity of the destruction especially in the first movie. I highly recommend this book to any Star Wars fan, even if you were completely turned off by the Prequels.

While I will say I enjoyed the Lukes Skyway kernel story more, this was great, and was really able to capture the feel of the original Stars Wars films.

The book lays some interesting groundwork, but never really goes anywhere. I probably would have quit halfway through if I hadn't known that there were several other books in the series. I'm going to try the next one, but if its just as aimless I will probably not continue past it.
