Story
Georgie hasn’t been on a date since, well, ever. Nobody’s asking the town clown out for a night of hot sex, that’s for sure. Maybe if people think she’s having a steamy love affair, they’ll acknowledge she’s not just the “little sister” who paints faces for a living. And who better to help demolish that image than the resident sports star and tabloid favorite? Travis Ford was major league baseball’s hottest rookie when an injury ended his career. Now, he’s flipping houses to keep busy and trying to forget his glory days.

I've read a few of her books and enjoy them but this was kind of blah for me. Agree it rotates between sweet and pornish with no real rhyme or reason.

Story
On the day the Nazis march down the rue de Belleville, 14-year-old Maral Pegorian is living with her family in Paris; like many other Armenians who survived the genocide in their homeland, they have come to Paris to build a new life. The adults immediately set about gathering food and provisions, bracing for the deprivation they know all too well. But the children - Maral, her brother Missak, and their close friend Zaven - are spurred to action of another sort, finding secret and not-so-secret ways to resist their oppressors.

I thought this book was super slow and really lacked development of the story and characters.
