I devoured this series.

I initially found this author on Facebook talking about Fourth wing. So I did a quick audible search and purchased the first book of this series. I feel like there’s so much coming from this author in time. I’m excited to read her future works.

Oh boy the heat in this book. It’s not crazy but it definitely got steamy. I enjoyed it. The plot was good, easy to listen to. Easy to follow not too many characters to get lost in. I look forward to seeing this author grow! Can’t wait for the next book to be released on audible!

Story
The Academy of Chaenbalu has stood against magic for centuries. Hidden from the world, acting from the shadows, it trains its students to detect and retrieve magic artifacts, which it jealously guards from the misuse of others. Because magic is dangerous: Something that heals can also harm, and a power that aids one person may destroy another. Of the academy’s many students, only the most skilled can become Avatars - warrior thieves, capable of infiltrating the most heavily guarded vaults - and only the most determined can be trusted to resist the lure of magic.

As a suggestion from kindle i download this book. I really enjoyed the growth of the character and the moral challenges he faced. I think it was easy to follow and has enough details where you can imagine the setting. I’m looking forward to starting book two!
