I didn’t find anything to dislike. The characters were young and hopeful.
The love was real, the Holocaust was real. It took me no time to listen to it. I can’t say it was joyful but it didn’t stop me from continuing with the book. I recommend it highly.

Story
Lina Meisel, a retired librarian in Florida, is reading the newspaper one morning when she freezes. Her eyes lock on a photograph of a book she hasn’t seen in 65 years - a book she recognizes as The Book of Lost Names. The accompanying article discusses the looting of libraries by the Nazis across Europe during World War II - an experience Lina remembers well - and the search to reunite people with the texts stolen from them so long ago. The book in the photograph is one of the most fascinating cases.

I didn’t find anything to dislike. It was a hard read in parts but an excellent story. The narrator was a little off in the beginning but not for long. After that I found her reading good and easy.

The book is very interesting. Completely different than Anne’s Diary. But that being said, it still told about what occurred after the war and about the family that was so close to hers. It takes you to the end.

Anne Frank's The Diary of a Young Girl has captivated and inspired people for decades. Published posthumously by her bereaved father, Anne's journal, written while she and her family were in hiding during World War II, has become one of the central texts of the Jewish experience during the Holocaust, as well as a work of literary genius. Bestselling author Alice Hoffman delivers a stunning novel about one of contemporary history's most acclaimed figures, exploring the little-known details of Anne Frank's life before she went into hiding.
