Story
Howard Storm, an avowed atheist, was awaiting emergency surgery when he realized that he was at death's door. Storm found himself out of his own body, looking down on the hospital room scene below. Next, rather than going "toward the light", he found himself being torturously dragged to excruciating realms of darkness and death, where he was physically assaulted by monstrous beings of evil. His description of his pure terror and torture is unnerving in its utter originality and convincing detail.

I think it contains a great summary of the Truth. Narration was good. The lessons, warning and unifying message is so relevant.

Story
Creative Evolution is a 1907 book by the French philosopher Henri Bergson. The work proposes a version of orthogenesis in place of Darwin's mechanism of evolution, suggesting that evolution is motivated by the “élan vital”, a vital impetus that may also be understood as a natural creative impulse. The book also developed concepts of time which influenced writers like Marcel Proust and Thomas Mann. Bergson's term "duration", for example, refers to an individual, subjective experience of time, as opposed to the mathematical, objectively measurable clock time.

A former Delta Force commander, Brad Taylor proves with this breathtaking debut thriller that Vince Flynn and Brad Thor have company. A collection of top operatives, the Taskforce was commissioned by the highest levels of government, kept secret from the media and even Congress. The best of the Taskforce bunch, Pike Logan knows the greatest threat to American security is one or two idealogues. Unfortunately for them, they’ve just crossed Pike’s path.

Good book. Good reader.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. It's a good book. The readers did a great job.
What was one of the most memorable moments of One Rough Man?
Airport scene.
What does J. D. Jackson and Neil Kaplan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Nice flow. But I had to speed up the play of the book to x1.2. The readers did a good job. It should have been sped-up during the edit process. It sounds slow at normal setting. By speeding up their pace of the read by a small amount it made all the difference. You would almost think the editors slowed down their natural read of the book. The switching back and forth between both readers isn't bad either at the more natural pace of x 1.2.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes. It was hard to turn off. There were a lot of exciting elements to the story.
Any additional comments?
Speed up the play of the audio by one increment. At first I was unsure if I would enjoy listening to the readers. But, by setting it at x 1.2 it made all the difference in the world. It's an exciting and fast paced book. By adding a small amount of speed to the read, it comes across as good as any of the top notch readers I've come to enjoy in Audible!
