Story
In a sleepy village in the Shire, a young hobbit is entrusted with an immense task. He must make a perilous journey across Middle-earth to the Cracks of Doom, there to destroy the Ruling Ring of Power - the only thing that prevents the Dark Lord Sauron’s evil dominion. Thus begins J. R. R. Tolkien’s classic tale of adventure, which continues in The Two Towers and The Return of the King.

Love the narration
Reviewed: 11-28-21
I sometimes struggle with audio books because it’s more difficult to imagine the imagery and characters as vividly as i do when reading a physical book. But this narration was theatrical and the differentiation between characters was clear. So good!

Disgusting narration

Im sorry bc its a good book. But the narration was disgusting with heavy breathing and lip smacking. Like. I couldn’t handle it it was so absolutely repulsive.
Even ignoring the loud bodily functions, its just not a good reading of a great book.
