I did something stupid. Something needlessly, hopelessly stupid, and now my past is catching up with me. I knew when I saw that cash, I should have left it alone, but I needed it. And doesn’t the world owe me a little bit of luck? A little reprieve from the constant BS? Sorry. I can’t help but to rant about my situation because the truth is that I am royally screwed. You see, I stole money from the mob. One stupid decision made in the heat of the moment, and now I’m running for my life.

The narrator. The story. The spice. So good and never been so happy to find this recommendation on Tiktok. For a tough guy, Amadeo is such a fluff. It makes me happy to find a book where the tough mafia man admitted and accepted his feelings for the ml first. I usually read ml deal with their emotions front center on the first half of the book and the other’s affection is expected to follow suit.

Simon just wants to run his antique shop in peace. But then he finds a small mysterious box that’s (probably) haunted, and his shop is broken into by the hottest man he’s ever seen who then steals said creepy box. Now demons are after him and his only hope is to trust the tall, muscled, combat-boot-wearing thief who claims to be the son of a fallen angel.

Galen was a great start!

I love love everything about this audiobook. The compelling story, the angst, the characters, and most importantly, the narrator. Nick J. Russo is one of my faves now. Although there are some questionable choices made, hopefully they will be justified in the next 6 books. I can’t get enough and I downloaded every book. Good job, Jaclyn Osborn!

A great start for a series. The wholesomeness is a huge plus for me. Michael Dean is a great VA who is capable of voicing all ages. I thoroughly enjoyed listening. I am currently reading the rest of The Chosen Universe, and I highly recommend you do so as well.

I love A. E. Via and I was looking forward to listening to Can You See Me. I tried because the sample didn’t sound so bad. Big NO. Can’t even finish it because the narrator sounds like he rather do something else than do a decent job with this novel. If I didn’t read the book first, I would’ve had a hard time distinguishing between characters due to the lack of personality in dialogues. Again, I tried because I love the author. I even purchased it again after returning it the first time to give it a second chance. I just can’t stand it. Now I can’t even return it again.
