Time traveler to fix your biggest mistakes…yes please
Reviewed: 02-05-25
I really enjoyed this book. Who wouldn’t love to fix their biggest mistakes from their path and see what their future could become. I know I would.
The story goes from current to the past but makes it very clear at the beginning of each chapter so you don’t get confused while listening (Thank you, Leanne Slade). I was surprised by “the glitch twist” and thoroughly enjoyed how it changed the story.
This will be a comfort reread for sure.

Story
For Dee Kwan, every day is the perfect day. No, really. She has a house she loves, a job she adores, and a ridiculously attractive “nemesis” who never seems to mind when she wins their favorite online game. How can life possibly get better? (It can’t, obviously. It can only get much, much worse.) Soon Dee is forced to share her adorably cozy home with her parents and estranged grandmother. Then she’s tossed into the deep end at work, tasked with cleaning up a scandal for the intimidatingly chic luxury fashion firm Celeste. If that weren’t enough, she discovers her hot nemesis works there, too.

I will read any Lily Chu’s story if Phillipa Soo is narrating. They are such a great combo! This isn’t my favorite story but still a great listen.

If it wasn’t for how good the narrator was I would’ve DNF’d this book. She is fabulous. The writing not so much.

After a summer spent in the Philippines with her family, Lara de la Cruz is eager to start her senior year and, most importantly, reunite with her three besties, Carol, Jasmine, and Kiera. Of course, summer is the season of change, and Lara knew she’d have to get caught up on the major updates, hot gossip, and other shenanigans she may have missed. But what she did not expect was to show up on the first day of school to all three of her friends now in relationships. The mushy public displays of affection has Lara realizing her last year of high school is nothing like she imagined.

Why did I wait so long to start this series?
Reviewed: 06-11-24
I purchased this series over a year ago because I heard such great things about it. I wish I hadn’t waited so long to start it. This book was SO good. I love how some things are left unfinished so you look forward to the next book but not on such a cliffhanger that you’re angry with the author. Really looking forward to continuing with book two tomorrow.

BEST NARRATOR!!! The range of voices that Jesse Vilinsky can do just blows me away. Even if the stories weren’t as good as they were I’d listen to this just to hear Jesse bring the characters to life.
The stories are well written and I loved how they flowed into one another but could be read as standalone books if needed (although I don’t know why anyone would do that).
