Story
One reason the Bible has endured for millennia is its ability to reach our common humanness and give uplifting insights about struggle, resilience, and hope. Intertwining academic knowledge and candid, personal, and sometimes humorous stories, Julie Faith Parker helps listeners engage biblical texts with both mind and heart—to learn the Bible's stories, explore theological ideas, question common assumptions, develop interpretive skills, and grow in their own faith.

Enlightening!

This is a serious deep scholarly work infused with passion for the history, Church, and the Bible. Dr Parker brings light to Biblical Studies by helping us better understand the original texts as she translates them (literally!) with skillful interpretation. Her outstanding knowledge of multiple languages makes this book academically significant while personal and family parallelism engages readers throughout the journey. Looking forward to reading her next masterpiece.

Story
The Mongol army led by Genghis Khan subjugated more lands and people in 25 years than the Romans did in 400. In nearly every country the Mongols conquered, they brought an unprecedented rise in cultural communication, expanded trade, and a blossoming of civilization.
