sorry i don't make the rules, Trismagistus dose ÙwÚ (ok fifteen word limit?)
lovely cross between "upload" and "Sword Art Online" but set in a future one might expect given current tech trends. (with a dash of "black mirror") delivered in a fluffy tailed fox format.
i love LOVE the blend of fantasy and scifi that is believable and actually kinda horrifying if you think about it.

Cardan's tail

that is all.
ok, honestly though fantastic story, cute characters, dark but emotionally intelligent plot.
if youre into folklore and Scottish/Gaelic fae stuff, its heavily influenced by this.
well read by the narrator, and i always like how some folks who read these books have the larges vocal range.
did i mention Cardan's tail 🥺👉👈

Story
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. But Mark isn't ready to give up yet.

lovely, way more information than movie

i loved it, and it was worth listening to especially due to the things not mentioned/touched on in the movie. i never usually like the book any more or less than the movie, but this is a case where i can confidently say with zero snobbery "the book was better".
also, Wil Wheaton did a fantastic job of reading this, i had no idea it was him till the end and that shows they're talent in getting into a role.
