Story
Set in the pre-Christian world of Glome on the outskirts of Greek civilization, it is a tale of two princesses: the beautiful Psyche, who is loved by the god of love himself, and Orual, Psyche's unattractive and embittered older sister, who loves Psyche with a destructive possessiveness. Her frustration and jealousy over Psyche's fate sets Orual on the troubled path of self-discovery. Lewis's last work of fiction, this is often considered his best by critics.

Fantastic

CS Lewis was a genius; to take a pagan story and use it to transmit deep theological and ethical truths concerning what love is really like and how the beauty of the divine nature is such as to be in God’s presence is the answer to our deepest questions and the healing of our greatest hurts, while at the same time preserving the reality of the myth’s original context, is nothing short of superb. What a wonderful read that I shared with my 12 year old autistic son before going to bed at night. I cannot recommend this book enough.

Sanderson rocks at plot twists. Great way to end the series
I normally listen to academic books so this was a nice break

Story
Mackenzie Allen Phillips' youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation, and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later, in this midst of his great sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend. Against his better judgment he arrives at the shack one wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change his life forever.

Good story with some reservations

Good story and very good regarding the emotional problem of evil and how the answer to suffering lies in relationship with God.
However this is not a book on systematic theology. I disagreed with the authors perspective on institutions as destroyers of relationship. Instead I see them as systems that can protect relationships, but are empty without them. Much like a cup of water is undrinkable without a cup, yet a cup without water is empty and useless. In my analogy the cup is like the institutions and the water is relationship

Newcago is free. They told David it was impossible, that even the Reckoners had never killed a High Epic. Yet Steelheart - invincible, immortal, unconquerable - is dead. And he died by David's hand.Eliminating Steelheart was supposed to make life simpler. Instead, it only made David realize he has questions. Big ones. And no one in Newcago can give him answers.Babylon Restored, the city formerly known as the borough of Manhattan, has possibilities, though.

Best book in the series. Great narration. Excellent plot twists and pacing was perfect. Never got slow, but had good downtime between action sequences
