It read like the history report of an 8th grader. It threw out dates and names entirely without context. Someone who is about to visit Florence and wants to learn some history will get very little out of this. Why on earth did you produce this audio book when there are so many fine books not yet in audio format?

The author could have included the First Nation early on and dropped the last two chapters. They're a stretch. He way underestimates how people identify as Americans.

Flat Characters. The story takes place in a tumultuous time in Colombia but the author provides no insight into the context of the story.

The author should have provided historical context and not relied on quick interviews with social scientists. I found her humor irritating.

Too many references to Greek theatre and the Greek choruses jumbled the narrative. Too much explaining by the author. The reader should not try to do accents. Her reading is good but all of her accents meld together -Ethiopian and Italian alike.

If you could sum up The Canterbury Tales in three words, what would they be?

Moral, Eternal, Bawdy

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Realizing that the common theme was that you eventually get what you deserve.

Any additional comments?

Having these classic tales told by the excellent narrators gave them life and made them understandable and enjoyable. It really beat reading them in school!
