John Grtsham has returned at his best. Sycamor Row is certainly of a similar genre to Time to Kill and every bit as entertaining. The naration is excellent, as is the plot. Grisham has bought the South alive again; the location is entirely believable, painting as it does the post intergration (race) issues, some of which appear to live on

The courtroom scenes are engrosing, and include the reader, the twists and turns of the issues involved maintain an interest. In short well done

I bought this book (credit) on the basis of previous reviews, it was in my view little short of appauling, I have obviously missed the point. For me it was tedious, the characters shallow much of the dialogue trite, in short I am sorry I used a credit.

The plot lacked all credibility. On the evidence presented how the defendant could be bought to trial is beyond me,the use of history the 19th. century murder trial was surely a book filler; for me it contributed nothing to the case in point .

The naration did nothing to improve the book

Unqestionabley a great story, strong plot' well performed, however there were lapses in sound level on rare occasions but certainly not enough to spoil the story. i kept telling myself this is a story, a fictional work, but it is so well pt together and presented that you will begin to feel that is history. I can only say past reviewers got it right, a story well worth five stars

ONCE AGAIN A GREAT BOOK FROM COMAC McCARTHY. SUPERBLY WRITTEN, SUPPORTED BY GREAT NARRATION.
IN REAL TERMS THE READER FEELS HE TOO IS ON "THE ROAD". ALTHOUGH THE CHARACTERS ARE FEW THIS BOOK IS RICH IN DIALOGUE THE PRINCIPLE CHARACTERS ARE STRONG . THE SITUATIONS ENCOUNTERED ARE WELL SCOPED.
IN SHORT EXCELLENT. DESERVING OF A FIVE STAR RATING.

I have read all of Forsyths' books and can't remember having read one that I haven't enjoyed except this one. Where does one start?

Plot; Frankly I felt there wasn't one, rather the book miandered all over the place, an over use of synamims interrupted the flow of the book, (why not use descriptive titles)

Characters: I thought these were badly drawn, in all, very shallow, to good to be true.

Quite obviously I didn't like this book at all, quality not in the same street as The Fist of God, Icon, or The Forth Protocol
.
Would I buy another Forsyth book? of coarse. I will regard this (book) as an aberation

I THINK I HAVE READ MOST OF THE ALEX CROSS BOOKS AND I CONFESS THIS LATEST BOOK IS A LOT LIKE MOST OF THE OTHERS IE. NOT A LOT OF ORIGINALITY, BUT LISTENABLE, THE NARRATOR, EXCELLENT.
VERY MUCH A BOYS OWN ADVENTURE STORY BUT FOR ALL OF THAT, AS STATED ABOVE A LISTENABLE BOOK.
DON'T LOOK FOR ANYTHING MORE THAN A GOOD LISTEN NOT GREAT, BUT GOOD

I am sure there will be courses that apeal, but this was not for me. I found the beginning and early stages to be tedious and far to academic. I acknowledge the fault may well have been mine however I did not finish it and would be pleased to take advantage of your return policy. My 4 star (performance ) rating goes to the narator

I BOUHT THIS BOOK ON THE BASIS OF PREVIOUS REVIEWS. IT SHOULD HAVE GOT 4 STARS, INSTEAD (AS I SAW IT ) THE OVERALL DETAIL MADE IT TEDIOUS. THIS WAS A GREAT PITY, THE CHARACTERS ARE STRONG, THE STORY EXCITING, BUT IN MY VIEW THE AUTHOR MUST LEARN TO PRECIS.
THE ENDING SEEMED TO LAST FOR EVER UNTIL IT BECAME ANTI CLIMATIC . I STILL BELIEVE IT CAN OFFER ENTERTAINMENT IF YOU HAVE THE TIME.BUT IT COULD HAVE BEEN A LOT BETTER

Well written, brings to light a page in history little known in the West. One would have to suggest this campaign may well have been a reason for Japan not entering the war against Russia, this in spite of Hitlers frequent requests. Once again highlights the preparedness of the Russian military to sacrifice all in defence of the Motherland. It has been suggested it kept Zukov out of Stalins way during the great purges of the late thirties. Well done the author and narrator
