What an amazing series. Sad that it is done. RC Bray remains the best at what he does.

Story
Sunset Park is gone. People are missing. Sylvie, Eric, and the other survivors have crossed the water to the security of a new Safe Zone, where they hope to heal their battered hearts, amass an armory, and get back at the ones who took it all away. But with zombies on the move and few resources to speak of, it’s harder than expected to plot their revenge. For some, it’s harder still to garner their resolve, since vengeance means more of them will die. But safety is ephemeral in a city where food is short and tensions are high. It seems fate may leave them no choice but to fight.

I am 100% not ready for this universe to end. I don’t think I have ever been this engaged with a zombie book.

Story
Hero or villain. A choice that every Icon, a person born with powers, eventually has to make if they don’t want to live a life of mediocrity. For most Icons the decision is easy. Just do what your parents did. Then, there is Hunter Monroe. A powerful young Icon born from the unimaginable union of a hero and villain. Seventeen years later Hunter is seen as a half-breed abomination by some, and as a certified powerhouse by others. With his time at Purgatory Academy, the premier institute for Icons, coming to an end, Hunter must embark on a two year internship with a supergroup.

Overall this is pretty good. It borrows from Invincible a bit for the story and has shades of Jupiter's Legacy. Main character is engaging though and I will listen to book 2.

Not as great, but just as good

After I gave up on my massive expectations and settled in, I found that this is a fun book with an endearing ending. Does it set up RP3? Hopefully.

Enlightening view of the world of free porn
Reviewed: 10-07-17
The author is well spoken and well written. the content was depressing, as I supposed it would be. I had hoped that the author would touch base on the effects of revenge porn though. This is an important story to be told.
