Hopeless romantics kind of story

The first couple of chapters were not as captivating, not sure if it was because of how the way the story was read by the male voice/narrator...but the female narrator, Faith Clark, did a better job at reading Holly's chatacter. if it wasn't for her voice and giving the character some authenticit, i probably have moved on w/o finishing the whole story. Liked the writing still because I fond myself still rooting for a hopeless romantic kind of story with Aliens;).

I was having a cold coffee with my best friend Vivian when the whole world went upside-down. Now there are gazelle-glowing-like-a-light-bulb aliens running around eating everybody, and enormous dark purply-colored aliens that have a strong resemblance to bats, dive bombing from the sky. One of the bats says I'm his and I need to ease his mating rage. Yeah, not happening.

Enjoyed this 1st book every day on my long commute to and from work! Nice character builds down to "tha chiiiikens!"-Absolutely LOVED Christoper Boucher's narration! Awesome voice acting bringing each characters to life on Audible.
