Story
The Old Testament - written in ancient Israel by many different authors over the course of a thousand years - has had more meaning to more people than any other book the world has known. In a series of 24 lively lectures, Professor Levine explores selected passages from the texts known as the Old Testament, the Hebrew Bible, and the Tanakh, revealing how fresh research and findings from scholars of archaeology, cross-cultural studies, and comparative religion can deepen your understanding.

Very knowledgeable

Very knowledgeable and engaging, but she spoke a little fast and slowing the speed down made her voice sound weird.

Story
For much of his career, Dr. Mark Epstein kept his beliefs as a Buddhist separate from his work as a psychiatrist. But as he became more forthcoming with his patients about his personal spiritual leanings, he was surprised to find how many of them were eager to learn more. The divisions between the psychological, emotional, and the spiritual, he soon realized, were not as distinct as one might think.

Lovely…

This books was lovely to listen to. On a conceptual level I could say so much for how it connected to my own life. Although Mark Epstein’s soft voice was difficult to tune into at time, it was the perfect tone and volume for the material being presented. And it would have been odd hearing such a personal account from a voice actor.

Difficult to hear and follow
Reviewed: 07-22-20
This audio experience was difficult to hear and make out the recorded audio clips. The storytelling was difficult to follow. Between these two challenges I wasn’t interested in spending my time on this one.
