Story
The works of Thomas Wolfe cemented his legacy as one of the very best of the American Southern writers. Wolfe's largely autobiographical novel features Eugene Gant, who pines for a more expansive life after being born to a father whose bouts of maniacal raving are fueled by a prodigious appetite for drink.

Best narration I’ve heard on Audible
Reviewed: 11-18-19
This is a wandering classic, and at times I felt like I was running a marathon, wondering if it will ever end, and If it does, what I would take with me as a reward in the end. I am no literary scholar, and I hate to jade anyone with my pedestrian perspective, so I’ll leave it at that. However, I want to say that this is by far the best narration I’ve heard on Audible. The distinct inflection and personality that the reader gave each of the seemingly endless characters was amazing, and really helped establish their identities and presence.

Reads like a fiction thriller

I just completed this book and strongly recommend it. It's a true account by former Hermitage hedge fund manager, Bill Browder, of corruption and murder in Russia, where entire companies can be stolen by a systematic corruption that goes all the way up to Putin himself. In addition to the compelling story, this reader is one of the best I have heard, easily shifting to a number of different voices and accents for various characters.
