Really enjoyable listen!

This was a fast-paced and fun listen. The first half is a lot to take in world building wise, which is ok and great. But it definitely builds up to an action packed second half. Really enjoyed it and can't wait to dive into the next book which I've heard is even better!

Came for the cover, stayed for the story!

This cover has to be my favorite of all the books I've read recently. It's absolutely amazing. And so is the story within it!
Right at the start, you're immersed into this fascinating world. At first, I wasn't exactly sure if I understood what the hell was going on....but i F'N loved it. The prelude was so epic feeling with tons of emotion. Like feeling attached to those characters even though I didn't even know them. Just the way it was written, so well done to setup the emotional trauma coming up. And it comes fast, lol 😆.
The world building is some of my favorite here. It's very immersive, detailed, and intricately done to elaborate, not only on the world itself, but the history of it as well. The characters are so well done too. All 3 POVs are so well done that you can't help but love these characters. Some of the best banter between characters as well!
I really enjoyed this one and can not wait to continue this story!

A Whimsical & Creative Tale
Reviewed: 08-18-24
I won a copy of the audiobook from the author via Instagram, and I'm glad I did! The narrator was spot on and made this an easy to follow and warm feeling listen. I felt the story was very unique and imaginative. The diverse characters were very intriguing and interesting. The multiple POVs in here flow well together. Sometimes, it's easy to get lost and confused, but Mel's writing style comes off very smoothly and performed very well by the narrator. The cliffhanger at the end definitely left me wanting more. This will be a series I will be keeping an eye out for what's to come!
