Condemned in its own time on grounds of indecency, the book was the subject of several law suits until as recently as the 1960s. This classic of erotica is still as exciting a read as ever. The tale of women working in a high class victorian bordello, the characters tells tales of varied sexual adventures. Told in the first person, the heroine is a good narator, and her own story is both titilating and sophisiticated. Contains storys that include mild S&M, deflowering virgins and an outdoor orgy.
