Story
Over the course of this gripping narrative, Dave Cullen approaches his subjects with unrivaled care and insight. What emerges are shattering portraits of the killers, the victims, and the community that suffered one of the greatest - and most socially and historically important - shooting tragedies of the 20th century.

Very Informative; Great Narrator

I learned a lot about this event that the press presented incorrectly to us at the time. The narrator is great. Somewhat hard to follow the 3 different timelines in audio, but he does a good job. Lot's of foul language when reading from the boys' journals, so beware.

Story
Here is a brilliant, authoritative, and fascinating history of America's most puzzling era, the years 1920 to 1933, when the U.S. Constitution was amended to restrict one of Americas favorite pastimes: drinking alcoholic beverages.

"Read by the author" kiss of death.

This could have been a much more entertaining book (think 1776 or The Great Bridge) if the author had not taken it upon himself to read it. I don't know why these authors think they are actors.
