Story
Although now beloved and revered by millions as the greatest composer who ever lived, Johann Sebastian Bach (1685–1750) was best known in his lifetime as an organist, and was eclipsed in fame as a composer by two of his twenty children. For the last twenty-seven years of his life he was a schoolteacher and choir director whose duties extended to meal supervision and dormitory inspection. Yet throughout his career he composed a vast body of music which is amongst the most joyful, dancing and enrapturing ever written.

I've been an Audible customer for years. This book production is one of my favorites by far! If you are even slightly interested in J.S. Bach then you won't be disappointed (I never learned about much of his bio in music classes...but should have). I listened to the whole book in just two sittings. The musical excerpts are good but the even more interesting readings of his correspondences to friends and Nobles as well as legal and newspaper excerpts collectively recreates the life of a genius from over 250 years ago. It leaves you wanting to search and friend him on Facebook or IG and sub' him on YouTube right away.

The ideas in this book have made me a better being. It’s my goal to continue using it as one of several sources with which to “be like water” as Bruce Lee said.

I’m sure the author is a nice guy. So I’m not hating on him…but his voice is a killjoy. I can’t concentrate on what he says because the Steve Erkle like quality of his voice makes the content sound unconvincing. My loss. Good luck to him though.

The relationship that matters most to your daughter isn't the one with her mother - it's the one with you, Dad. Her self-esteem, choices, behavior, character, and even her ideas about or choice of a marriage partner are all directly tied to you, as the most important representative to her of the male species.

This guy totally misses that we Dads already feel bummed our about our dad/daughter relationships. He continues to hit us with all of his achievements and Princess dad daughter examples. Nobody wants to hear that BS. It's like he's fluffing himself up at our expense talking about all the TV shows that he's been on and celebrities that he knows in order to increase his value with us. Who cares? most disappointing book I've read on Amazon hands down!!!! the only reason I'm going to struggle through the rest of it is because I spent my money to listen to it😒😒😒😒
