With "The Complete Guide to Financial Literacy for Teens" by Holly Sherman, you can't go wrong. I find that what is lacking in supplementary education today is covered here. I appreciate that teens can reference this book on basic subject matters such as budgeting and the world of credit. This too feels like it can be a better refresher for adults who haven't understood key concepts of finances in its entirety. Author Holly Sherman hits a home run by making this subject easily digestible and breaking down the big steps so success is more attainable. The teens who have listened to this book and followed every advice given, will be better off making fortified financial decisions, thereby proving the effectiveness of the methods prescribed therein. You could be very well off from saving and investing or you could be middle class living through your paycheck to paycheck. This book explains it all. Everything that should be discussed and taught in school I found it right here.

First of all, I’m not much for Rom-Coms but the storyline was intriguing. I thought yeah, we’ll have the basic make the other person pretend to be your partner while you pay them and later it’s a happy ending because both fall madly in love during the pretend, but no. This book has twists and turns and uncertainty at almost every chapter. The narrator brilliantly describes the scene as if you were right there with the characters. Beautifully written, characters were fully developed, and the ending? It made me feel like there should be a series attached so the story can go on. I’m curious to now what tricks author Shannon Connor has up her sleeve for future books.

I can’t even begin where to start how good and resourceful this audiobook is. Michael Wu hits you hard and fast on how to really make and keep your business alive. Emotional intelligence is so greatly needed in business and I’m glad it’s getting it’s spotlight for recognition. Things like learning to motivate your team, dealing with mistakes and flipping them into positives? Absolutely gripping! I loved that there’s logical strategies you can apply instantly and there’s a section on how to undertake a business partnership, find and create this union so the business runs smoothly. We need this kind of intel if things are going to be successful. I own a business myself and there’s methods in this book that I haven’t heard of. Basic business strategies are out. It’s been said and done, but now it’s time to realize the full potential using emotional intelligence. I highly recommend for those who want to start or improve their business.

Love the mayhem when the murder suspect has utmost thirst for justice because he’s framed for murder. “Lethal’s” tantalizing words roll off the narrator’s tongue as if this happened for real. I am always up for a murder mystery but because technology is wrapped around this story has now got me hooked on a brand new form of detective mysteries that I have never come across before. I’m looking forward to more from this author!

The book just speaks out to you. Get up off your chair and make things happen! I loved how we are encouraged by the author and narrator to get something —anything, done today and take it in strides. We cannot change how people act or say but we can heal from our past and be stronger for the present and for tomorrow. Both Books are needed together, it’s a must read if you’ve ever been put down or pushed aside. I felt these books apply to all women. Stand up and take your place ladies!

So when I was given the opportunity to listen to the book in its entirety, all I can summarize is this is a really solid piece of gold. I find it more convenient to listen to the book in my car or even better when I’m talking a walk/run. There are very important points I’d like to point out the author makes undeniable efforts to give your teen the financial literacy supplement they need: It’s all about making compound interest your friend, invest invest invest, budgeting is key to getting everything you want in time, you can quite literally get into college without worry about paying for it, and lastly the wise words of people who have dealt with money quite literally their whole lives. So what you waiting for? Go grab your copy of the audio version and listen to it like your very rich best friend telling you secrets to have a sound bank account!
