When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Perfect modern-day fairytale story.

It was exactly what you'd expect of a fairytale, but at the same time it wasn't in all the right ways. It was emotional, relatable, and a more "grown-up or realistic" take on the classic fairytales told to children.
Also, loved the narrator. This was the first audio book I've actually listened to and it exceeded my expectations.
