Story
In her memoir, a work of deep reflection and mesmerizing storytelling, Michelle Obama invites listeners into her world, chronicling the experiences that have shaped her - from her childhood on the South Side of Chicago to her years as an executive balancing the demands of motherhood and work to her time spent at the world's most famous address. With unerring honesty and lively wit, she describes her triumphs and her disappointments, both public and private, telling her full story as she has lived it - in her own words and on her own terms.

Excellent, awesome and inspiring

Loved every word of it. I feel hopeful and inspired, and sad that it ended. I would've liked more of her experiences, but I understand it would make a very long book! Anyway, I'm grateful for her words and her life's example.

I now know why this is a classic of american literature. Loved the authenticity of the story and characters. A different way of looking at real people as heroes. I would say this book is a MUST for any bookreader.

Story
In 2009 Malala Yousafzai began writing a blog on BBC Urdu about life in the Swat Valley as the Taliban gained control, at times banning girls from attending school. When her identity was discovered, Malala began to appear in both Pakistani and international media, advocating the freedom to pursue education for all. In October 2012, gunmen boarded Malala's school bus and shot her in the face, a bullet passing through her head and into her shoulder. Remarkably, Malala survived the shooting. At a very young age, Malala Yousafzai has become a worldwide symbol of courage and hope.

Loved it all; the storyline, the narrator... Everything! Malala's life and the people and traditions of her culture are very well described from her point of view, which is innocent as well as wise.
