The artistry, precision and storytelling of this Audible Original are absolutely first-rate, from Aditi Kapil's sure-handed writing and direction to the pitch-perfect performances (Harriet Harris is especially divine) to the superb sound design, engineering, and music composition. An unusual, atmospheric, and quietly mesmerizing listen.

Story
As they recount the events surrounding the disappearance of their toddler—one with a tendency to bite—two parents cope with grief in vastly different ways. While the father wrestles with feelings of guilt, the mother is convinced she’s spotted the boy in frightening TV news reports...though let’s just say he looks nothing like the precocious little boy they remember from a decade ago.

The Parent Trap?

Love that Audible is supporting an emerging writer who's tackling the zeitgeist (end times anxiety, parental neuroses) with a sci-fi spin. Outlandish and suitably over-the-top.
