Story
The ancient world has cast a long shadow, influencing our customs and religious beliefs, our laws, and the form of our governments. It has taught us when and how we make war or pursue peace. It has shaped the buildings we live and work in and the art we hang on our walls. It has given us the calendar that organizes our year and has left its mark on the games we play.

Story
Although the courts have struggled to balance the interests of individuals, businesses, and law enforcement, the proliferation of intrusive new technologies puts many of our presumed freedoms in legal limbo. For instance, it's not hard to envision a day when websites such as Facebook or Google Maps introduce a feature that allows real-time tracking of anyone you want, based on face-recognition software and ubiquitous live video feeds.

Biased Expertise

Basically a political diatribe, not at all what I expected
Reviewed: 02-01-17
Was hoping this would have a lot of interesting insights, through a legal lens, into technology and how it's changing our world.
Instead, it's basically hour after hour of opinion and carefully selected stats to make an argument that police and conservative judges are biased, evil, etc.

Story
An ex-Wall Street trader improved on Moneyball’s famed sabermetrics to place bets that would beat the Vegas odds on Major League Baseball games - with a 41 percent return in his first year. Trading Bases explains how he did it. After the fall of Lehman Brothers, Joe Peta was out of a job. He found a new one but lost that, too, when an ambulance mowed him down. In search of a way to cheer himself up while he recuperated, Peta started watching baseball again. That’s when inspiration hit: Why not apply his outstanding risk-analysis skills to improve on sabermetrics, the method made famous by Moneyball?

Good listen, narrator is easy to listen to and subject is interesting. Lots of stats that would probably be easier to understand if visualized but not a huge problem.

Interesting, but very little is the "if I did it" part
Reviewed: 03-16-16
The majority is simply about the relationship between OJ and Nicole, and how the book came to be. The latter was kind of interesting but probably could have found the information elsewhere as well.

A lot about what ADD is and how to spot it, but doesn't go into much detail on interventions, especially for adults.
