Story
Jack Turner grew up in the darkness of London's slums, born into a life of crime and willing to do anything to keep his belly full and his siblings safe. Now he uses the tricks and schemes of the underworld to help those who need the kind of assistance only a scoundrel can provide. His distrust of the nobility runs deep, and his services do not extend to the gorgeous high-born soldier who personifies everything Jack will never be.

JK Charles but without the blood
Reviewed: 01-11-20
As a big fan of JK Charles, I was delighted to come across Cat Sebastian. Gay period drama with a mystery, yes! I was delighted by the angsty but litterally non-bloody mystery of this book.
The narration was adequate for the story.

Story
When we were kids, Xavier Price understood horses, but somehow, he got me too. He'd made me feel like I wasn't just the overdressed, too sensitive 15-year-old geek who loved math and didn't always say the right thing. But all that changed the night he threw my trust back in my face and betrayed my family in the worst kind of way. And while I'm back in Eden to make sure my uncle's horse ranch is operating in the black, the one thing I know I won't have to deal with is the man who'd been on the verge of stealing my heart 10 years ago.

If you love angsty, character driven romance with very hot man on man action, this is the romance for you!
The angsty non communicating was frustrating. I wanted to beat them up a few times for not talking it out, but I got the emotions behind their silence. And the ending was satisfying even if it was a quite convinient tying of all the loose ends!
Narration was good and fitted the story.

Story
After a homophobic pagan group rejected him, Lars Kendall is a solitary heathen on the Northern Path, loyal to the gods of the Norse pantheon. But being on his own sucks. So when he finally meets a mixed group of other queer witches and magick users, it’s like finding family. If family involved exploring past lives and casting spells. Rhys Turner quit a stressful job in the city after his high-strung boyfriend of six years walked out. He sold the expensive flat in central London and bought a run-down house out in the suburbs.

Magical
Reviewed: 01-04-20
This is how I imagine that real magic works, how real witches do it. Not spectacular, no show, just quiet shifting of energies, in the shadow, changing that which it touches. The writing is superb as is the narration! If I could give more stars, I would!
Lars uses his magic to help heal his deathly sick new lover Rhys. So if that is too heavy for you, don't read. Personally, I find the writer handles the heavy themes wonderfully and profoundly.

Fun and sexy but a bit boring
Reviewed: 01-02-20
If you like sexy stories with no angst and not a lot of plot, these are for you. You get 6 stories for 1 credit! For me personally, it was a struggle to get through. I tried, but the story line just couldn't keep me focussed. I got through to book 4, then I quit.
The narrator did a great job of the sexy scènes and giving every character a distinct voice.

Story
Saying I've had a crush on my best friend's older brother, Pax, most of my life is like saying the big bang was just an explosion. It's true, but I'm not sure that quite captures the essence of its true enormity. I don't think my advanced physics knowledge is going to help me figure this one out. But I think for once I'm okay with not knowing, as long as Pax and I don't know together.

Sweet
Reviewed: 12-22-19
The story is sweet. A rocket science student and very Shy guy learns the ropes of flirting from the oblivious hot older brother of his best friend. Pax and Ely promise a no relationships deal, which ofcourse leads to a lot of hot sex and feelings. The execution of this plot is great. The nicknames are sweet, the friends they both have are honest. I do hope Theo gets his own story soon.
Zachary Zaba does a breath less kind of narration, which is fantastic when they get intimate. But when there's a lot of information, it confuses me sometimes, as a non Native English speaker. He just speaks too quickly for me sometimes. Luckily there's a back-button.

BDSM in Omegaverse
Reviewed: 12-19-19
This is a bdsm story set in Omegaverse with loads and loads of sex. It left me feeling ambivalent. On the one hand there's so much consent and checks for consent. Which is rare in Omegaverse! I really like that. On the other hand, sometimes the dom leaves the sub doubting what his orders are, which I have a problem with.
There could have been more plot, but the focus lay on the sex. Piper Scott does a good job navigating strong and broken for the omega, although some of the times I would have expected a little more resistance. He gave in quite easily for someone who has been so closed off for so long. And I wondered about their families and backstory a bit. But that is ok for this kind of porny book.
Narration by Michael Pauley is brilliant and on point!

A cute uni lovestory
Reviewed: 10-31-19
The misunderstandings lasted a bit too long for my taste, but was resolved by the shy MC getting angry, which was allright.
Usually I love Matthew Lloyd Davis' narration, but he didn't seem as sharp and into the story as usual. At least not all the time. At the end there he was as fine as always.

Marry me for one year. Payment: $1.2 million. Hayden Somerset is convinced the ad is a joke, but he responds anyway because, hello, $1.2 million. He’s broke, living in a tiny apartment with two roommates, and exhausted from praying his ancient car survives just one more week. His skyrocketing rent and crushing student loans aren’t helping either. At this point, there isn’t much Hayden wouldn’t do for that kind of cash.

This is the way to do this trope!
Reviewed: 10-29-19
I wondered what spin the author would give this trope. I like this realistic spin. The doubts the MC's have. The way they communicate. The respect and care and love they show. And how things don't go according to plan untill they do.
The narrators did a great job showing the emotions and giving some extra spice to an already great story.
Am sure going to reread!

Story
Never Have I Ever been so infuriated by a man I wanted to kiss. They say opposites attract, but I beg to differ. Combust is more like it. Because every single time I talk to Zach Nolan, I see red. The too-good-looking, too-smart, too-effortlessly-charming single dad who works down the hall from me has turned getting under my skin into a sport. Call it the battle of wits between the wedding planner and the divorce attorney. Trouble is, when we’re forced into closer quarters, planning an engagement party for our best friends, I start to see his other sides....

Great worldbuilding, flat narration
Reviewed: 10-22-19
What a monotone performance. It was hard to really listen to the story, which had plenty of big emotional moments, when read in that tone. Pity.
Story was veering wildly between plot and MxM porn. Author is great at worldbuilding. I bet this story feels better when I read it on paper.
