Story
Officer Danny Sullivan has just become Detective Danny Sullivan, the first in a family line of Boston police officers to do so. It's a milestone the whole family can celebrate. But quickly, his new position turns into something more than he ever anticipated. His first case with a new partner throws him into a web of secrets, half-truths, and dead women. The conclusion he draws puts him at odds with everyone in his life, and the young detective must decide whether to risk everything to prove his theory that more women are about to die.

Underwhelming

Cliché, slow, and not super well written. But also not terrible. Fell into the meh category. It was nice to not have a bunch of crap in it. Very clean read but not super exciting

Story
When the CIA realizes the identities of three American spies in Brazil have been compromised, they turn to Juan Cabrillo and the crew of the Oregon to rescue the agents. What seems a routine operation turns out to be a trap designed by Juan Cabrillo's greatest enemy, a man driven by hate to seek the ultimate revenge. At the heart of the plot is a state-of-the-art ship that is identical to the Oregon: same weaponry, same technology, same ability to evade capture. The only thing it doesn't have is Cabrillo and his talented crew.

This was my absolute favorite CC book. It was intense throughout the whole book and had a great ending. Can't wait to see what he comes up with next!

Story
In this stirring audiobook, David McCullough tells the intensely human story of those who marched with General George Washington in the year of the Declaration of Independence, when the whole American cause was riding on their success, without which all hope for independence would have been dashed and the noble ideals of the Declaration would have amounted to little more than words on paper.

I listened to this book following a trip to Boston. It is a great read and Mr. McCullough does a fantastic job, both as the author and as the narrator. I only wish he had kept going through the whole Revolutionary War and the Post Period.

Story
It’s everywhere, from commercials to New York Times best-sellers to college (and even younger) classrooms. In fact, pornography has become such a part of normal life in 21st century America that many teens and twenty-somethings have had no more important influence. They are the porn generation, where life’s expectations come from Mouseketeer pop tarts, Victoria’s Secret, internet titillation, and condom-flogging sex education.

If you have kids read this

So worth the read (or listen rather) to understand what my boys will be facing and worse when they are teens. Oversexing our children’s lives with too much television, videos games and music is bad parenting. This will inspire or compel you to do better!
