Story
Truman Wiley used to report news stories around the world, but now the troubling headlines are his own. He’s out of work and out of touch with his family, but nothing keeps him awake at night more than his son’s failing heart. With hospital bills mounting faster than Truman can gamble his life savings, it seems there’s no way out... until his estranged wife throws him a lifeline - the chance to write the story of a death row inmate willing to donate his heart to Truman’s son.

Well written .. actually wandered around most of a weekend with earbuds in because it was so engaging. Would recommend book highly ... hadn't read anything from this author before and just loaded my cart with 3 more of his books. He reads his books so well too.. if he wasn't an author he would do well as an audio reader!! Loved it and it's surprise ending .. well worth the time!!

Story
An ordinary snapshot causes a mother’s world to unravel in an instant. After picking up her two young children from school, Grace Lawson looks through a newly developed set of photographs. She finds an odd one in the pack: A mysterious picture from perhaps twenty years ago, showing four strangers she can’t identify. But there is one face she recognizes—that of her husband, from before she knew him. When her husband sees the photo that night, he leaves their home and drives off without explanation.

Narration threw me a bit

Love these books ... Having read at least 10 .. But the reader in this one was a distraction from the outset be especially for the main character Grace. Not sure if it was her or the recording as the voice seemed mechanical or digitized and generally the pace and tonality was out of keeping with the text. Love the book but not the reader.
