I shouldn't have remembered him. He was just a guy who walked through a restaurant. I didn't know his name. We never made eye contact. There was no connection between us at all. But I could feel him. The tingle down my spine. The command in his presence. The snap of tension in the air around him. That was the first time I saw him, and I was captivated.

I'm a huge fan of Tijan! Generally, I love her books. The female narrator killed this one for me. While the MFC is a bit on the dramatic side for me (as written), the narrator was so hard to listen to. She was so over the top with her drama factor that I just wanted to skip over all of her chapters. Unfortunately, she narrates almost the entire book.
I'd highly suggest getting the book on Kindle vs Audio. It might just ruin the story for you.

This book gave me all the feels!
Let's start with the sassy heroin. While she's a little bratty in the beginning, you soon develop a love for her sass and whitt.
Beck stole my heart almost immediately! Who doesn't love a sexy man that's also handy?! His family is extra, but he has that beautiful soul that needs a woman like Kate to show him his worth.
This book has it all:

Frustrating Family Dynamics
Brother's Best Friend
Small Town goodness
and my favorite, a HEA.
