Story
I was never meant to have a happily ever after. It was a fate I accepted a long time ago. Before he came for me, taking away who I am, I needed to escape. Just for one night. One man turned my entire world upside down. I should have walked away, but something about him wouldn't let me. Now I'm lying to him. He's going to find out the truth, or my life will catch up to me. Either way, I lose him. People have always told me love is amazing and powerful. They're wrong. It makes you weak, exposing your vulnerabilities, making you easy prey. Love is heinous.

This book was way different from most things I listen to. I did get in to the story, but omg how crazy! The story was portrayed excellently by the narrator. I would recommend this book for anyone who has an open mind!

Story
Above All, the third of the John Jospeh Sharpe trilogy series following America's Diplomats and Eyes of the Blind, is a lighthearted action-adventure historical fiction set in the waning stages of the Vietnam War. The story which pits a consummate warrior against the political strangulation that rendered our armed forces virtually incompetent. It is a comical but sordid tale of a roguish gunship pilot and his nemesis, a petty commanding officer, who loathe each other at first sight.

Very slow moving book, but in the end it wasn't half bad. I wish there was a little more substance to the writing and narration. Having said that, I would look forward to reading and listening to more by this author and narrator.

Story
It should have been a simple job. All archaeology student Jane Barnaby had to do was pick up a box her professor needed and deliver it to him at his dig site, along with his new car. Yes, his office was in Oxfordshire, and his dig site was in Spain, a trip of 1,400 miles across three countries and two bodies of water. Still, it should have been simple. And it was, until Jane discovered she picked up the wrong box by mistake.

I read in reviews that this book can be a standalone. I agree and disagree at the same time. This book wasn't an easy listen type book because I was trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together the whole time I listened. I wasn't impressed with the narrator. I have heard worse, but she kind of ruined it for me.

I just finished book one and then this one. The narrator is a million times better in this book than the last. But with all good things, the more you make the more diluted things become. I wasn't into this book as much as book one. I still enjoyed this book and would recommend it to everyone!

The was a fun book! Easy to listen to the story line because it was well developed, and so were the characters. Can't wait to listen to more from this author. Worth a credit! Only complaint is the terrible narration. If it hadn't been for the enticing writing I never could have gotten past this annoying narrator!
