Every leader (or aspiring leader) should read this book, often! The culture is your responsibility. Forming and transforming organizational culture is a top-down phenomenon (I don't want to call it a process because it's as much soul driven as it is stepwise). Every other culture book I've read misses this subtlety. Katie and Michael fill this gap with what initially feels like a cute story about a family vacation to farm, but they nicely analogize the various functions of honeybees (and their impact to the surrounding environment) to how our organizations work -especially from the leadership lens. My favorite part is towards the end when they turn the script to consider the reactions to some of the messages from the CEO, and how members of the leadership team choose their lens to either embrace or resist ownership of the organizational culture. Great read. Thanks Katie & Michael!

The wealth of nations is notoriously difficult to read and comprehend, the commentary and narration of Adam Smith’s principles makes it very digestible and enjoyable.

What a wonderful time to be alive! Before being halfway done with this book, I already purchased multiple copies - for my parents and my in-laws, and to a couple friends, inviting them to my 100th birthday party. Please keep us up to date on your health/longevity experiments, as I surely will share the positive impacts to my parents!! Thanks again :)

Good book and worth a read, I loved the startup process and story. But, I became increasingly frustrated by the 2018 state of shopping at s Home Depot. So much of the mantra preached in this book is about the attributes of excellent customer service. Well, when you go to a HD store, it’s as if the staff ignores you and when you actually lasso one of the scarce staff members, the chance of them actually helping is pitifully low. I’ve left HD so many times to sit in my car in the parking lot, and order what I need from amazon. HD, you need to up your game, and compete on a level that amazon can’t, know-how, right-now, too big to ship. Come on, LETS DO THIS.
